ABOUT ME
Hello! Thank you so much for your interest in hygge bloom! Since I was a little girl I have always loved planning and staging parties, adding those touches to the small moments and the big, that create the ambiance that tints the essence of a memory. My first job and beginning of my life long love of everything 'wedding' was at 15 as an assistant to a Wedding Floist. Over the years I have trained in several floral shops, gradually shaping my personal style and skills.
My mother emigrated from Denmark in 1954 and with her brought an appreciation for all things Hygge. The word Hygge, is a Danish word, roughly translated meaning a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture)
In honour of that I wanted to bring my brand of hygge up to Muskoka and the surrounding areas. I couldn't think of a more beautiful place to work and play. Whether your wedding day flowers are dockside in Port Carling, wharfside in Gravenhurst or surrounded by old growth forest in Algonquin park, I would be thrilled to add the hygge to Muskoka's already gorgeous backdrop.
I look forward to answering any questions you might have, and welcome the opportunity to bring a little hygge to your dream day!
